There are so many different jobs out there in the world and they are all somewhat important. If a random job was eliminated it would probably effect the whole world. It is crazy how everything in the world is linked and even if you have never even heard of the job that was eliminated it would probably effect you and everyone else in the world. Every job is created to benefit something and someone. Most jobs provide a service for people and without them the world would not be able to run as smoothly as it does. I would not say that one person's job is specifically more important than another's because they all benefit someone in some way. Although there are some jobs that are more intense than others and they are all important, but some are not as important as others.
For example, a doctor gets paid less than a major league baseball player, but the baseball player gets paid more. I am not saying that a professional baseball player is not an important job, but the world could survive without professional athletes. These professional baseball, football, and basketball players make millions of dollars every year just for playing a game. Same goes for actresses and famous musicians. They get paid a ridiculous amount of money just for people's entertainment whereas doctors save people's lives and even though doctors get a lot of money they do not get as much as famous athletes or musicians. I understand that our world would be very boring without these professional games, concerts, and movies, but they are not as necessary as doctors are. Both of these jobs are important, but a doctor is more important because without doctors everyone would be dying at such a young age and they would not know why. It does not go by the annual salary to determine how important a job is.
All jobs are important they just all do different things and have a different level of importance. From teachers to seamstresses to cashiers they all do a service that help everyone else. Although with technology becoming as advanced as it is there are many jobs that are disappearing. For example, now that many food stores and department stores have self checkout aisles they do not necessarily need any cashiers. If businesses are trying to cut back on payroll they can get rid of some cashiers if they have self checkouts. I think that in the future all stores will only have self checkouts and cashiers will be a thing of the past. Another job that I think will be gone in the next few years is mailmen. With the Internet and email no one writes letters to each other anymore. Even now people can pay bills online and they do not get anything in the mail.
There are many jobs out there and some are more important than others but they all have some kind of importance. There are also jobs that make more money than others. Being a senior in high school and trying to decide what i want to major in it is difficult to find a job that pays well and will be a good job in the future. If someone goes to school to be a mailman by the time they graduate there may not be anymore mailmen. Deciding what to major in is a big decision that will affect the rest of your life.
