Important To Me
There are many things that are important to me. Some things are more important then others, but there are many things that I would not be able to live without. For example, the things that are most important to me are my friends and family. My friends and family have gotten me through many tough situations and I do not know where i would be today without them. Another thing that is important to me is playing sports and staying active and in shape. I hope I never stop being active because I always eat a lot so I know if I stop being active I will definitely get fat. Being physically fit and healthy is very important because I would like to live a long and healthy life without having to worry about serious diseases when I am in my forties.
These things have always been important to me. I have always loved my friends and family because they have always been so good to me. My parents have always been there to support me growing up and they have always been there for me whenever I needed them. There are many people out there who are not lucky enough to have parents like mine and I am very luck to have them. Also my friends have always been there for me my whole life too. Although I do not have many of the same friends from when I was younger to now I still cherish all the people who were or still are my friends. They have all impacted me greatly and I am very thankful for them.
There are some things that are important in my life now that may not be important to me in the future. For example, soccer is very important to me in my life right now, but it may not be as important to me in the future. I think it will always have meaning in my life, but right now it seems like my whole life. I know that when I am married with kids that soccer I'll seem vey insignificant. I will always have the memories of playing, but it may not always be my entire life.
Another example of things that may not be important in the future is my grades. I know it is important to be educated, but in twenty years I am not going to really care what my calculus grade is. My grades are very important to me right now because it determines many things like how much scholarship money I will get for college and if I can continue to play softball or not, but I know in twenty years it is not even going to matter.
There are many things that are important to me and I know it will change in the future. When I grow up, get married, and have kids I know they will be the most important thing in the world to me, but for right now I am concerned about my grades and sports. On the other hand I know there are certain things like my friends and family that will always be important to me throughout my entire life.
Courage
Courage is doing something that forces you to face your fears. Courage is different for everyone because everyone has different fears. Of course the people that chase down bank robbers and shoot down airplanes are courageous because that is definitely something that requires courage, but there are smaller things that require courage also. For example, some people are extremely afraid of speaking in public, so it requires a lot of courage for that person to get up and speak in front of a room full of people.
Courage is an emotion that not everyone has. Some people have a lot of courage and are able to do brave things, while others are not courageous and they never face their fears. Courage is standing up to your fears and facing them head on. No matter how big or small a fear is it takes courage for a person to get over that fear. Everyone is different and everyone has different opinions so there could be something that took a lot of courage fold a certain person to do, but in your mind it was a very simple task. For example, getting on an airplane. For some people it is a piece of cake, they just get in their and read until they reach their destination, but for others it is a huge fear and they need to have a lot of courage to be able to sit on that plane as it flies through the air.
A person does not have to be an adult to have courage. Everyone has fears even from the youngest toddler. Although very small babies probably do not understand fears, but once a child becomes a year or two old they start to recognize fears in the world. Once a person has fears they need to have courage in order to face their fears. Even the smallest fear takes a certain amount of courage. Of course small fears do not take as much courage as shooting down an airplane, but there is still some courage required for the smallest fears.
In my opinion the people that have the most courage are the people that serve for our country in the military. Whether it is the army, navy, marine corps, or air force they are all extremely brave and courageous. I know I would never be able to survive going to Afghanistan and living there for a significant amount of time. It takes a lot of courage to know that there are people that want to kill you and shoot at you, but you have to be brave and courageous enough to stand up and fight.
Courage is a strong emotion and everyone possesses it somewhere deep in their bodies. Sometimes it is more difficult for some than others, but if people are willing to stand up and fight their fears it takes courage. Everyone's view on courage is different, but in my opinion if you are able to face your fears, no matter how small, then you have courage.
Wildcard: Central Softball
Softball season has always been my most enjoyable sports season. I think it is because the weather is getting nice and the end of the school year is coming near, or it may be that we know how to have fun as a team. I love soccer season, but I take it so seriously that sometimes it is not fun. I always have fun playing softball because win or lose I am just there to have fun. Of course I want to win, but honestly I am not going to be devastated if we do not.
Our softball coaches always let us have fun and goof off at practice which makes it even that much more enjoyable. Most of the time Coach Stout and Coach Ardise are the ones that start the jokes and make us all laugh. I love how we can laugh and joke around, but still have intense practices, be a good team, and win games. We have always been pretty good in the past, but this year we have been off to an exceptional start. We are 5-0 right now and we are ranked ninth in the shore. It is pretty crazy that we are doing so good because this year we have been having the more fun than ever. We play games at practices and we always get very competitive. My team is the underdogs so we always have to create little tricks in order to win. We normally don't win, but we always have fun.
There is also a team joke about My Little Pony's. We have a small pink pony named Jen and every practice I put her in a small hole in my glove. At first our coaches thought I was nuts, but they soon got used to it and now we constantly joke about the pony.
There are many things that make our team crazy, but I think the icing on the cake this season is our prank war. After Courtney and I tricked the whole team last year with our prank about the homeless man in the shed, the rest of our team decided to start a prank war. Now most coaches would not approve of this prank war and I did not think they were going to, but they did not seem bothered by it so it kept going for a while. The other day at practice we were just getting our equipment out of the shed when all of a sudden our three coaches start running after us with water balloons and silly string. I do not know of many coaches who do that, but that is why I love playing softball. It is always fun and exciting and you never know what is going to happen next.
I'm sure this prank war will continue throughout the season and i just hope that we can continue to win. We have been doing extremely well so far beating good teams like Toms River South, Pinelands, and Jackson Liberty. Hopefully we can continue to win and continue to have fun while we do it. I really think that we have been so successful because we are having fun and enjoying ourselves playing softball.
Advice
If I could give myself advice knowing the things that I know now I would tell myself to just have fun and be yourself. When I first came to Central I was extremely shy and nervous about making friends. I never really said much throughout my middle school years and once I got into high school it got better. It wasn't until my junior year of high school that I felt totally comfortable being the way I was and I felt comfortable talking to people. When I was young I was always afraid of saying something dumb to someone and people would think I was weird, but it turns out saying nothing was even worse because many of my friends now say that they thought I hated them in middle school because I never talked to them.
My junior and senior years of high school have been awesome because I am able to be myself and I do not feel afraid to say whatever is on my mind. I have learned that people will except you for who you are no matter how weird you are. If I would have known that when I was in middle school or even my freshman year of high school I would have been a lot better off. Luckily I figured it out towards the end of my sophomore year and I was able to be myself for two years of high school and hopefully the rest of my life.
Also, I would give myself the advice to work a little harder in school. I always was in honors classes and I have always worked hard, but I have also slacked off significantly too. I think I could have worked harder than I did and now looking back I wish I would have studied harder and worked harder to improve my grades while I was a freshman and a sophomore. I always had good grades in elementary school and middle school, but once I got into high school and my friends and sports became more important than schoolwork. Although sports are important I wish I would have focused a little more on all of my schoolwork.
Other than those things I do not think I would have changed anything else throughout my four years of high school. I have definitely had a successful high school career and I wouldn't want to change much of it. I enjoyed high school so much and I am very sad that it is almost over. If is so hard to imagine myself going to school somewhere else in September and not coming back to Central Regional. I would want to do everything the same way as I did because I enjoyed it so much I would not want to change anything. I know that I will always remember my high school friends and teachers and my whole high school experience. I know I will always come back and visit because I am going to miss it so much.

Forgiveness
Forgiveness is something that should be used sparingly in my opinion. If forgiveness was just given away easily it would cause many people to do wrong things because they know they will be forgiven. Of course people make mistakes, but if someone knew they would be forgiven they may make more mistakes. Forgiveness should be a rare thing and saved for people that absolutely deserve it. For example, someone who deliberately lies about something and they know they are doing something wrong and that it is going to hurt someone they should not be forgiven. They were fully aware of the consequences of their actions and they still did it anyway therefore they do not deserve to be forgiven.
There are many times that I have practiced forgiveness because I understand that people make mistakes. No one is perfect because humans are going to make mistakes, there are car accidents all of the time and car accidents that are unintentional deserve to be forgiven. It depends on the person, but for some people forgiveness is something that they do not give away often. For example, one time at softball practice one of my teammates was hitting the ball off of the machine and when she hit the ball it hit me right in the back. Of course I forgave this girl for hitting me because she did not mean to do it. It was an accident and accidents deserve forgiveness. On the other hand, people have lied about me and they knew exactly what they were doing. I did not forgive this person for doing that because he knew that what he was doing would hurt me, but he continued to do it anyway. I think that lying is completely unforgivable because there is really no reason to lie. A person is aware when they are lying and in most cases a lie is going to eventually hurt someones feelings down the road.
There are many people in this world that will forgive people for anything and everything because they want to avoid confrontation. I used to be one of those people until I learned that if you forgive anyone for anything people tend to walk all over you. In my opinion, forgiveness should be earned because it shows people that they should respect you if they do not want you to be mad at them. Depending on the person it could be wise to forgive everyone for everything. It is a wise decision because it does not cause any problems. Although it does not cause any problems or confrontations there is also a chance that you could get hurt many times. If people know that you will forgive them to avoid a problem they will be more likely to take advantage of you and your feelings.
Forgiveness is for people who are unlucky enough to have accidents happen. Sometimes accidents cannot be avoided and unfortunately all of us have been stuck in an accident and we want to receive forgiveness because we did not intentionally mean to hurt someone.

Wildcard: Bowling
I have always been interested in sports throughout my entire life. I have played soccer since I was five and I played just about every sport known to man. From baseball, tennis, roller hockey, and basketball I did them all. When I was little my mom would drive me from one practice to the next and I loved every second of it. Unfortunately, as I grew up and the sports became more serious I had to choose one that I wanted to stick with. I chose soccer to become my main sport and I slowly dropped the other ones.
I still played softball and basketball once I got to middle school because I enjoyed the sports, but soccer always came first. I was always on the top travel teams and we would travel for tournaments and games all over New Jersey and the East Coast. I loved the competitiveness that sports gave me and I loved the feeling of winning. I always loved gym and took every game I ever played seriously.
As I got into high school and soccer got even more serious I struggled through the winter of my freshman year playing basketball. I was not as good as I had been at basketball and it was too much of a commitment with soccer. My sophomore year I knew I was not going to play basketball, and Mr. Ardise convinced me to join the bowling team. Bowling was only three times a week and it was extremely laid back. I remember the first day of tryouts and there were forty girls trying out for a ten person team. I was nervous that I was going to get cut, but somehow I made it and it was the start to my bowling career.
I swore that I would do bowling just for fun, especially since I had never bowled before, but the competitiveness came out in me and I became really serious with it. I ended up getting my own bowling ball and Coach Ardise taught me how to hook the ball perfectly so all the pins would fall down. It turns out I made varsity my sophomore year and had a very successful season.
In the past three years I have really enjoyed bowling and it has really given me a different perspective on sports. In all the sports I was exposed to the other team was the enemy and I wanted to tear them apart, but in bowling everyone is friends. We would laugh and joke with the opposing teams and I even made a lot of new friends through bowling. Bowling was so laid back that you could go and get a sandwich in the middle of a match. It was completely different than any other sporting event I had ever been too, but it was relaxed and exactly what I needed. Although it was laid back my team and I still took it seriously. We won B-South for the past six years and this year I even finished in the top 5 bowlers in B-South. I never in a million years thought I would join the bowling team, but it turned out to be one of my most memorable experiences throughout high school and it made me realize that not all sporting events are as cut throat and aggressive as soccer.

Unfinished Business
With only two months left of my high school career I have been thinking about my past four years at Central Regional a lot lately. It seems like just yesterday that I was walking into the school as a freshman scared to death of the seniors, and now I am graduating. I had very high expectations for myself as a freshman and I think I succeeded in most of them.
I remember going to summer soccer practices as a freshman and seeing all of the older kids and how different they seemed. I was terrified of all of the seniors and barely said anything the whole season. I remember thinking that once I was a senior I wanted to be nice to the freshman and make them feel more comfortable then I felt as a freshman. This year I was always nice to the freshman and underclassmen and treated them as equals. All of the seniors this year were a lot nicer than when I was a freshman and I know that the freshman this year had a better experience because of that.
Playing soccer my whole life I knew that I wanted to have a successful career in high school and hopefully beyond that. I played varsity soccer for four years and being captain for two I would definitely say that I had a successful four years. This year we won the first ever B-South Conference Championship for Central Girls Soccer and that was a huge accomplishment for me. When I was younger I always pictured myself playing soccer in college and I am lucky enough to achieve that dream as well. I will be playing soccer in college next year and I hope that I can have another successful four years.
As for leaving high school I do not feel that I am totally ready. Being in high school has been the best four years of my life and I do not want to leave. When I first came to Central from Island Heights I didn't have any friends so my middle school years were not very enjoyable. After going through two years with not many friends I do not want to start that over again in college. Hopefully playing soccer and being a part of a team in college will help me make friends and I hope that I can enjoy college as much as I enjoyed high school.
The only thing that I would say I did not accomplish that my parents would have wanted to me to was to graduate in the top 10 of my class. Honestly this was more of a goal for my parents then for me, but I did see myself there when I was in elementary school. Although I am not in the top 10 kids in my class I still got very good grades throughout high school and I am proud of the hard work that I put into these past four years.
As for the end of my senior year I have one more goal that I would like to accomplish. I want to win B-South with the softball team so that I could have three B-South Championships in one year with soccer, bowling, and softball. We are off to a good start this season and I hope that we can continue to play well and hopefully win B-South. Also, I hope that we can advance far into the Shore Conference Tournament and State Tournament. We have a good team and I think that if we work together we can end the year, and for many of us our high school career, on a good note.

Graduation
As the school year is coming closer and closer to an end everyone is frantically trying to decide what they want to do after high school. What are your plans for after high school? Do you want to go to college, go into the service, or maybe go into the work field?
High school has been four years that we will never get back. For some people high school is the worst experience of their and for others it is the best experience of their life. Did you enjoy high school or did you hate it? Are you happy to be graduating or will you miss returning to Central Regional in September?

Death
Death is something that everyone wonders about, but no one can avoid. Eventually we are all going to have to go through death and there is nothing we can do about it. It is human nature to be afraid of the unknown and that is what makes death so scary because absolutely no one knows exactly what to expect. Anyone that does know is not around anymore to tell the people that are still alive, so we just have to hope for the best and when it does happen just accept it because there is no stopping it.
I think death is a way to keep people understanding the meaning of life and have them realize that they need to enjoy their life while they still have their time on Earth. If no one ever died the world would be extremely overpopulated and people would be a lot more careless. There are many things that people hesitate from doing, like drinking and driving, because they have that thought that they could die. If death was not an issue there would be more people running around and doing whatever they wanted.
There are many different theories for what happens to people after they die, and no one knows the exact truth. I think that whatever you believe is what you get in the end. Some people think that they will be reincarnated; some believe that there is nothing after death, and others believe they will spend eternity in heaven. Whatever you believe I think that is what will happen to you after death. There is no right or wrong answer to death, whatever religion you practice or beliefs you have is what determines your faith. Being catholic I believe that after death I will go to heaven and be reunited with God and the rest of my deceased family members.
Death is a very scary thing because it is the unknown. Everyone worries about death because if you think about it too much you can freak yourself out. Even though it is hard not to be concerned about death I try to not worry about it. I just try to enjoy my life everyday while I am still living on Earth. No one ever knows when they are going to die which is another reason death is so scary. Even someone who is perfectly healthy could get in a car accident and die instantly without even doing anything wrong. Another thing that everyone has been worried about lately is the rumors that the world is going to end in December 2012. Even if these rumors are true there is nothing anyone can do to stop it, so why even bother worrying about it. It is definitely not easy to just ignore the fact that the world might end, but it is pointless to worry about it because then you are not enjoying the time you have left. I always try to enjoy my life every day because even though I am healthy and I try not to do stupid things to put myself in danger, I could get into a car accident or something could happen and I die so I would not want my last days to be miserable.

Curriculum
Creating a school curriculum is a lot harder than many people think. There is a lot to making classes that kids need to take and want to take at the same time. Now in school you have to take the basic classes like math, history, English, science, and a foreign language which are definitely essential for a good education. Although I do believe that children need to take all of these essential classes, there should also be more courses that are based on the careers that kids want to do in the future. There should be a required one or two years for math, science, and English instead of having to take three or four years of something you do not want to deal with after school. For example, if I am going to become an English teacher there is really no reason for me to take three years of a math or science class. I think that freshman year everyone should take the basics of every subject and then from sophomore to senior year your classes could become more focused on what you want to major in once you get to college.
Of course if school curriculums were set up like this that kids only had to take classes that were related to their majors the high schools would have to have many more classes. They would also have to hire more teachers to teach these classes. It would be difficult and expensive, but I think it would be worth the money, time, and effort. I think that kids would definitely try harder in classes that they are more interested in and that they understand. For example, I am not good at history, therefore it was always really hard to do my history homework because I never wanted to take the time to do it. On the other hand, I have always enjoyed math so when we had math homework it was still not fun to do, but it was easier for me to get through instead of the history. Kids would not complain as much about their classes if they actually enjoyed them. I feel that kids only complain about the classes that they really do not care about. I feel like it makes me a kit more driven to do good in the areas I like more than the areas that I do not like as much.
Although I think that the curriculum should be more based on what kids want to major in in college, but they definitely have to take the essential classes first. Also, I think English should definitely be required for at least three if not four years because no matter what field a child ends up going into they are going to need to know proper grammar and how to write a good essay. As for homework I think that homework should definitely be part of the curriculum to an extent. I think that teachers have to teach the lesson before you give the homework because if they give you homework the day before they teach the lesson it just causes extreme frustration to all of the students. I do think homework is beneficial to reinforce the lesson that was learned in class, but I just do not see the point in having kids trying to teach the lesson to themselves before they do the homework.
Of course if school curriculums were set up like this that kids only had to take classes that were related to their majors the high schools would have to have many more classes. They would also have to hire more teachers to teach these classes. It would be difficult and expensive, but I think it would be worth the money, time, and effort.

Wisdom
Wisdom can mean many different things depending on a person’s perspective. Some people could think that wisdom is getting good grades, having a high grade point average, or having good SAT scores, but I think differently. In my opinion wisdom is not something that could be learned in school; in fact it is not something that can be taught at all. Wisdom is something that is acquired over time and experience. I have heard many times elderly people be called wise and I think it is absolutely true. The older you are and the more experiences you have the more wisdom you can acquire over time.
Being wise is different than being smart in my opinion. If someone is very smart and they get good grades in school they could not be wise at all. Some of the smartest people I know have no common sense whatsoever. I think that you can’t have it all so you are either really book smart, really street smart, or average at both. Even with that being said I still think wisdom is a different look on knowledge. Wisdom is not someone who graduated with a Ph.D., but more likely someone who experienced going off to war in Afghanistan. I believe that wisdom is learned through experiences and you have to find your wisdom for yourself. Wisdom cannot be taught from someone else it is something that you have to go out in the world and find for yourself.
I do not think that there is a way that you could test a person’s wisdom. Wisdom is not like taking a standardized test that is black and white. There are different levels and kinds of wisdom. There are many elderly people who have stories about things that they have experienced. Times have changed tremendously from the 1930’s and the people that are on the Earth now that are under the age of 60 will never know what it was like then. We need the elderly people to share their wisdom of the past with the younger people of the world that way their wisdom can be passed down from generation to generation.
The person I know that has the most wisdom is my grandpa. He is eighty-four years old and he has so many stories from when he was younger that he is full of wisdom. My grandpa did not have an easy life growing up he was put into an orphanage at a young age and stopped going to school in 4th grade. My grandpa does not have a very good education and he can barely read and write which just proves that you do not need a good education to be wise. He has experienced so many things throughout his life like growing up in an orphanage, working three jobs to support a family, and being able to experience his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. There are not many people in the world who can say that they are able to watch their great-grandchildren grow up and that is wisdom in my opinion. Wisdom is the experiences that you have in life, not the education that you have.

Jobs
There are so many different jobs out there in the world and they are all somewhat important. If a random job was eliminated it would probably effect the whole world. It is crazy how everything in the world is linked and even if you have never even heard of the job that was eliminated it would probably effect you and everyone else in the world. Every job is created to benefit something and someone. Most jobs provide a service for people and without them the world would not be able to run as smoothly as it does. I would not say that one person's job is specifically more important than another's because they all benefit someone in some way. Although there are some jobs that are more intense than others and they are all important, but some are not as important as others.
For example, a doctor gets paid less than a major league baseball player, but the baseball player gets paid more. I am not saying that a professional baseball player is not an important job, but the world could survive without professional athletes. These professional baseball, football, and basketball players make millions of dollars every year just for playing a game. Same goes for actresses and famous musicians. They get paid a ridiculous amount of money just for people's entertainment whereas doctors save people's lives and even though doctors get a lot of money they do not get as much as famous athletes or musicians. I understand that our world would be very boring without these professional games, concerts, and movies, but they are not as necessary as doctors are. Both of these jobs are important, but a doctor is more important because without doctors everyone would be dying at such a young age and they would not know why. It does not go by the annual salary to determine how important a job is.
All jobs are important they just all do different things and have a different level of importance. From teachers to seamstresses to cashiers they all do a service that help everyone else. Although with technology becoming as advanced as it is there are many jobs that are disappearing. For example, now that many food stores and department stores have self checkout aisles they do not necessarily need any cashiers. If businesses are trying to cut back on payroll they can get rid of some cashiers if they have self checkouts. I think that in the future all stores will only have self checkouts and cashiers will be a thing of the past. Another job that I think will be gone in the next few years is mailmen. With the Internet and email no one writes letters to each other anymore. Even now people can pay bills online and they do not get anything in the mail.
There are many jobs out there and some are more important than others but they all have some kind of importance. There are also jobs that make more money than others. Being a senior in high school and trying to decide what i want to major in it is difficult to find a job that pays well and will be a good job in the future. If someone goes to school to be a mailman by the time they graduate there may not be anymore mailmen. Deciding what to major in is a big decision that will affect the rest of your life.

My Room (Blog for 3/12)
I think a room definitely describes who a person is. A person's room says a lot about them because it is where they spend most of their time. For example, my room is very colorful because I like bright colors like bright blue and green. I also have a whole bunch of pictures around my room because I like to look at them and remember all the good times I had with my friends. I have a huge wall unit across one side of my room and it is full of drawers, stuffed animals, trophies, and pictures. My room is very modern looking especially with my loft bed and couch underneath. My loft bed is like a bunk bed with no bottom bunk. At first my parents did not want me to get a loft bed, but I really wanted one so they finally gave me one once I was old enough. I love having my loft bed because it gives me a lot of floor space and I am able to have a couch under my bed. I definitely think my room is a reflection of my personality because it is very bright and there is a lot of stuff in it. It is normally pretty clean because I am usually a very organized person.
A room has a great effect on me, but I do not know why. I am very excited to decorate my dorm room when I go off to college. I can't wait to set up my closet and desk and hang up all the pictures of my friends. I think a dorm room is a lot of the experience of college. Bring an only child sharing a dorm room with someone next year is going to be a very different experience for me, but I am excited about it. I hope I get a nice roommate who is like me and one that I can get along with.
Whenever I am home I usually relax and do homework or read in my room because I can get some alone time just for myself. I am nervous that I am not going to be able to get that alone time next year in college. I think that sharing a room has to be difficult even if you do get along with the person you are sharing it with. I hope that whoever my roommate is likes her alone and quiet time too and I hope that she likes bright colors and a lot of decorations like me. I did an overnight visit at William Paterson University and the two girls I stayed with had the cutest dorm room. They had pictures and decorations all over the place, they even had it decorated for Christmas. I hope that my roommate next year is into all of that stuff because I think that a room is a place where you can express yourself and I want to be able to express myself with colors and pictures in my dorm room.

Love
Love is such a complicated thing that it cannot be defined by a simple equation. If love was as simple as an equation the divorce rate would not be as high as it is today. If there was an equation that was kindness and good personality that equaled loved, there could be many people in the world that would fit that. If there are hundreds of people in the world that could fit the definition of "love" how could someone find their one true love. Many people do not believe in soul mates, but I do. I think there is one true love somewhere in the world for everyone and you just have to find them.
Love is the people in the world that you care about. Whether it be your family, friends, husband, or wife the are many people that you can love. Love is a funny feeling because there are different kinds of it. I think that there is a difference between loving someone and being in love with someone. I love my friends and family, but there is a difference between loving someone and being in love with someone to the point where you want to marry them. There are many feelings and emotions that come with love. Love can be a great thing or a terrible thing. I care so much about the people that I love, so when they are hurt or upset it makes me feel bad too, but on the other hand I love seeing them happy and being successful.
There is not necessarily a specific place that you go to look for love it can happen anywhere. It can happen at the food store, at school, at a party, or at work. If two people are soul mates they are bound to find each other eventually no matter where they run into each other. Also someone does not have to be looking for love to find it. Sometimes it is easier to find love when you are not looking for it. When people go out and look for someone it is almost like they are trying to hard to find it that they can't. Depending on the situation love can be extremely difficult or the easiest thing in the world. I think once you find the right person it is east, bur finding that person is the hard part.
Everyone deserves to have love so I do not think that you have to be qualified to get it. Everyone has a the right to love and everyone has someone in the world for them to love and to love them back. I do not think that there is anyone that doesn't have it. Even the meanest and nastiest people of the world have a good side to them somewhere. They can find someone who is also mean and nasty and they can love each other. I do think that there is people who want to get rid of love because they have too much of it. If someone loves another person, but that person does not love them back it can be extremely painful. If someone is put into that kind of situation it seems terrible enough to make them want to stop loving altogether.
Love is a wonderful emotion when you find the right person to love. It can make everything in the world seem joyful and exciting, but at the same time a person who loves but is not loved back can been in the darkest place. Love is a strong emotion and it can be either negative or positive. I hope that one day I can find my one true love and I can be one of the lucky people to live happily ever after with their one true love.

Risks
I am definitely not the type to take a lot of risks. I like to think that I live my life to the fullest, but I do not do stupid things. For example, in my opinion drinking and driving would be a stupid and life threatening thing to do, so I stick to drinking water. Other people may say that I am missing out, but I just do not see the fun in getting so drunk that I have no idea what I am doing and vomiting all over myself. I definitely take more social and personal risks than risks that involve crazy life threatening things.
Social risks are something I can relate to more. I have not taken a lot of social risks, but I have definitely taken some. Growing up in Island Heights was good in elementary school, but coming to Central for middle school was really difficult. I knew one person coming into middle school and she was not exactly the type of person who you wanted to hang out with all of the time. I was very shy back then and it was hard for me to make friends. I was always nervous about what people would think of me and how they would react when I tried to talk to them. For the first few months of school I did not really talk to anyone, but as time went on I started making friends. It took some time, but now I have a lot of friends and many that I know will stay close throughout college and for the rest of our lives. Another social risk I took when I was younger was I used to play on an all boy hockey and baseball team. Not many girls would do that and be the only girl on the team, but I had no problem playing with all the boys and it was some of the most fun memories I have from my childhood.
In addition to social risks I can relate to personal risks too. I was never really comfortable talking to my parents, or anyone else in my family, when I was younger. I was always afraid of my parents and I never wanted to disappoint them or make them angry. I have always loved them, but I never wanted them to know what was going on in my life because I was afraid they wouldn't be proud of me. Although I still worry about my parents being disappointed in my actions I talk to them about my life a lot more now. In fact just this morning my mom and I had a deep conversation about my boyfriend and I, a conversation that I would have never been able to have three years ago.
I know that it doesn't seem like these things are actually risks, but I do not normally take risks. The biggest risk I can think of is when I was younger I used to love skateboarding. I used to go to the skate park and ride up and down the ramps for hours. Looking back at that I do not know how I wasn't terrified of the huge ramps, but I used to love it. There are risks that can be taken that do not threaten your life and a person can definitely enjoy their life without doing insane and dangerous things like drinking and driving.

State of the Union
If I were the President of the United States and I had to give the State of the Union Address I would cover many things. Our country is working its way back to the way it used to be. The economy is improving from what it was a few years ago and even though some people are still getting laid off from their jobs, there are people that are going back to work as well. We have already hit the bottom with our economy and we are slowly working our way back up to the way it used to be.
As for our school systems they could use some improvement. In the United States we used to have the best school systems, but now other countries have improved their school systems and they have become better than ours. There is no doubt in my mind that the United States is the best place to live, but our school systems need to be improved. We want our children to have the best education that is possible. In order to have the best education possible we need to have the best teachers. I think we should get rid of the way teachers get tenure because as teachers get older some teachers begin to slow down and they are not as good as they used to be, but the school system cannot replace that old teacher with a fresh new teacher because that teacher has tenure. This system should be revamped bacuse these older teachers who are just slacking off because they know they cannot get fired are not giving our children the best education. Also, with technology becoming a huge part of education now, new and younger teachers are going to be more equipped to using computers and other technology than other older teachers.
The environment is another big topic in the United States. If the environment is not protected we could find ourselves in a lot of trouble in the near future. We have started to recycle more and have become more conscious of how we are really hurting our environment. It has definitely improved in the past year, but helping the environment has to improve more in order to make sure the Earth will last a long time. If we continue to abuse the Earth like we have in the past we will destroy our environment and ourselves. Now that we are conscious of the damage we had done to our world in the past it has definitely gotten better because more and more people realize that we have to take action. We need to continue recycling and doing good things for our environment to make sure we keep it in good shape.
The United States is one of the best places in the world to live, but it does have its faults. They are definitely things that can be fixed in the near future to make the United States an even better place to live.

Earliest Memory
Memories are a tough subject for me because I have been told I have the worst memory ever. I could be going to do something and five seconds later forget what I was doing. My friends tell me all the time that I have a terrible memory, but I do remember a few specific things from my childhood. I do not remember anything from being an infant, but the earliest memory that I can think of is when I was about four years old.
When I was four I went to pre-school at Peppermint Tree and we went on a field trip to the Cape May Zoo. We went on a school bus and I think it was my first time on a bus. I remember being excited about going to the zoo and my mom was a chaperone on the trip. As the bus was driving the the zoo we came to a sudden stop and I remember my head slamming against the seat in front of me. We didn't hit another car, but the front wheel of the bus had turned the wrong way and we were stuck on the side of the road. It was in the middle of the summer so it was extremely hot and there was a bus full of anxious pre-schoolers. We were stuck on the bus for what felt like forever and we were not allowed to get out of our seats because they were afraid the bus was going to flip over. When we finally got off the hot bus, I remember looking at it and it looked like it was more than halfway to the ground. It was not scary while I was on the bus, especially nice my mom was there with me, but after I saw the bus when we got off it was scary. Although it was a scary experience I think I was most upset that we did not get to go to the zoo.
Another memory I can remember was when I was about five I used to love going to Castle Park. My mom would take me there a few times a week and I loved it. There was always so many things to do and it was like a little kid fantasy. My mom would let me walk around a little bit by myself as long as I went back to see her every once in a while. I remember one particular day in was in the tube of tires and I must have fell asleep in there. When I did not go back to see my mom she started to look for me and she could not find me. I remember a policeman coming in the tunnel and waking me up and I remember getting out of the tunnel and saw my mom with tears in her eyes. Although I vaguely remember this memory I'm sure it was very scary for my mom because she didn't know where I was. I do not remember many memories but I do remember some random ones. I wish that I remembered more from my earlier childhood, but I am glad that I have a few memories.

The Balance of Nature
The balance of nature is the way that all animals, plants, and all living things on Earth fit together to make the Earth the way it is today. Everything in nature affects something else. For example, when it rains it benefits all living life on the Earth because everyone and everything needs water to live. Without the power rain the Earth would not be able to function. In the middle of the summer when there is a drought we always have to be conscious of how much water we use and save it because we have a limited supply of it. Another example of how there is a balance of nature is the food chain. We as humans need animal and plants to live. Our bodies need certain foods and nutrients that only plants and animals can give us. Nature definitely pushes to keep itself balanced because even if humans do something to make the Earth unbalanced, nature compensates for it to become balanced again.
I do think that the world is in balance today. Nature compensates for humans mistakes so it keeps nature in balance. Although the Earth is in balance as of now, it was more in balance in the past before the Earth became so populated. If we keep abusing the Earth like we have been with polluting the air and using up our limited supply of fossil fuels, nature may not be able to compensate and nature may not be balanced in the future. Many animals are becoming extinct and it is greatly affecting our environment. On the other hand, humans are trying to help the Earth now that they realize that they were greatly damaging it. Once humans find out that there is an animal about to become extinct they take them into an animal shelter and help them repopulate their species. If humans continue to recycle, and be conscious of keeping a green community the natural balance of the Earth should be fine.
Human beings are a big part of the balance of nature. Most of the things humans do for the balance of nature are not benefiting it. Once humans began to roam the Earth the balance of nature was disrupted a bit. Humans did disrupt the balance of nature, but they did not even realize that they were doing it. Now that humans are more intelligent and we have become aware of all the damage we were doing to our Earth, we are starting to fix it. We are doing everything we can to keep nature balanced and we are attempting to fix the mistakes we made in the past. Everyone is trying to spread the word of becoming a “Green Planet”. We are trying our best to make up for our mistakes and make the world a better place. With recycling, energy saving light bulbs, hybrid cars, eco-friendly water bottles, and reusable food shopping bags, humans are trying their very best to conserve energy and keep the natural world in balance.

Historical Time Period
If I could pick a historical time to visit I would definitely want to visit America when it first became a country. I would want to be one of the Pilgrims that came over to the United States before it was a country and lived here. I wonder how life was like and if it was a big difference from where they came. It would be cool to be at the first Thanksgiving when the Pilgrims and Indians came together to have a feast. I would like to experience the signing of the Declaration of Independence and be able to meet George Washington. I think it would be exciting to see how our country became what it is today and the changes it has gone through until now. It would be interesting to see the whole Ellis Island process where people were coming from all over the world to the new land.
In addition to going back in time to see the signing of the Declaration of Independence I would also want to go to back to 1969 when Neil Armstrong walked on the moon. I can only imagine how the news would have been back then when the first man stepped foot on the moon. Especially with the technology back then it was extremely impressive that someone could fly into outer space on a spaceship and actually walk on the moon. It is fascinating to me now it 2012 so I cannot even imagine how amazing it must have been back then. It is a crazy idea to think that a huge spaceship can fly through the air and without falling down to Earth from gravity.
Another thing I would like to go back in time and experience would be to live through the 1970's. Everyone that lived through the seventies said it was the best time and it was a lot better than life is now. I would like to experience walking down the street and seeing hippies all over the place. It would be interesting to compare the different clothing styles and the different lifestyles from the 1970's to today in 2012. It would be really cool to have to live without all the technology that we have today. I probably would be really lost without it, but I would want to see if I could live without a cell phone, iPod or, the internet. Life would be so different and it would definitely be hard to adjust.
In conclusion, there are many different places that I would want to visit if I were able to travel back in time to a different time period or historical time. I would want to know all the different things that happened each decade and be able to see how the United States has changed and grown to become the country that it is today. It would be really interesting and inspiring just to see how far we have come with all our technology and way of life.
