Comfort Food

Food is very important to me and i absolutely love to eat.  I eat a ridiculous amount of food and I would definitely be obese if I did not play soccer.  I will eat pretty much everything, and I am always excited to try new foods.  A few weeks ago I tried shrimp tempura sushi and I thought it was delicious.  Most people would not try certain foods, but it doesn't matter to me.  I really like sushi and I always get my friends to try it, but they never do.  I do not understand why people say they don't like a food if they have never tried it.  You cannot base the taste of food on the way it looks or smells.  I always try food no matter what because I could be missing out on something delicious if I don't try it.  
I do not really have a specific comfort food.    If I am stressed I normally just eat anything I can get my hands on.  A lot of people do not eat when they are stressed, I am exactly the opposite.  I do not stop eating when I am stressed.  My mom does not keep a lot of junk food in our house, so I very rarely eat ice cream or chips.  If I am looking for a snack I normally eat a granola bar or make myself a bowl of soup.  I have been obsessed with soup lately; I have been eating it for breakfast and sometimes for dinner too.  I love soup and how there is so many different kinds and now that the weather is starting to get cold, the soup really hits the spot.  Another thing I really like to eat is subs or sandwiches.  I love how there is so many layers of different things like meat, lettuce, tomato, onions, and bread.  I love biting into it and tasting everything in my mouth at once.  
Food always makes me feel better, but only good food.  I hate eating fast food like McDonalds or Burger King.  After I eat there my stomach always feel terrible and I never have any energy.  If I am looking to get something fast to eat, I would much rather go to Wawa and get a sub.  I always feel so much better about myself when I eat something healthy.  Especially now that soccer is over and it is bowling season I have to really watch what I eat.  Everyone on the bowling team gets french fries from the snack stand, but I try not to eat them.  They always smell so good, but I know if I eat them I will feel bad about myself afterwards.  
Food is a very important because everyone needs food to live, but eating the wrong foods can lead to bad things.  I try to eat healthy because I know that twenty years from now I will regret it if I eat badly now.  Once in a while is okay, but going to McDonald's on a daily basis is not good.  I do not have a specific comfort food, but having good food gives me comfort and always makes me feel better when I am stressed.   

Deep Questions

When i think of deep questions about life there are many questions that come to my mind.  Why is everyone saying we are in global warming if we still get ten feet of snow every winter?  Do we all see the same color?  What can make someone happy?  How do you know if someone is your true love?  Why do we drive on the parkway and park on the driveway?  Is it better to try and fail or to not try at all?  Is it true that money does not buy happiness? How was the English language created?  Why are some door handles on the left while others are the right?  How do we know if lie detectors can actually tell if someone is lying?  Who came up with the idea of the number line and why?  Why is there an infinite amount of numbers?  How do we know if we are making the right life decisions?  How are we as seniors expected to pick one thing that we want to do for the rest of our lives?  Why is it that we have breakfast foods and dinner foods?  Why is it weird to eat pizza or pasta for breakfast and eggs for dinner?  Why are we born?  What happens to us after we die?  Is it possible to die and come back to life?  Do ghosts really walk the earth?  Why is it that the drinking age is different in the United States than it is in Mexico? Why do we fall in love with someone who do not love us back?  Why can't animals talk to humans?  Why do they call football, football when you use your hands?  How do thousand pound boats float on water, but a five pound rock sinks to the bottom?  How can airplanes fly when leaves fall due to gravity?  Why does everyone freak out about the world ending when theres nothing they can do about it anyway?  Why is it that if you think about something too long you can believe it is actually happening?  Do mermaids exist?  Is there other living things on other planets?  Does the galaxy go on forever?  How would anyone know if there was another planet with life on it if we have never been there?  Is there species of bugs we do not know about?  Why does your nose run and your feet smell?  Why does your alarm clock go off when it starts to ring?  Is there really "signs" that tell someone what to do?  Cans psychics really see into the future?  What came first the chicken or the egg?  What do other animals think of humans?  Why do people have accents based on where they live?  Who invented language and why is there so many of them?  Why does the Earth revolve around the Sun?  Were all the Earth's continents seven continents once one big landmass?

Mom for Mayor

If I had to choose a family member to elect to an office I would have to pick my mom.  My mo has run in a few previous elections.  She was elected onto the Island Heights Grade School School Board and also the Central Regional School Board.  She has the more experience with politics than anyone else I know.  Many people tell my mom that she should run for mayor of Island Heights, but she says she does not want to.  She says it would be to much to run for mayor with all the other things she has going on in her life.  Although she is extremely busy now, I can picture her being elected as mayor in a few years after I am in college.  If my mom were to be elected as mayor I think she would do a fantastic job.  

Being a teacher and owner of a pre-school, my mom would definitely focus a lot on education.  She would do everything in her power to make sure that the kids are getting the best education they possibly can.  Also, I know my mom would so everything in her power to give the people what they want.  She would make choices that would be beneficial to the town and all the people living there.  My mom would always put the people of the town first and make make decisions that the majority of the people would benefit form. 

One characteristic that my mom has which would make her an excellent mayor is she is always honest.  Most politicians will just tell people what they want to hear even if it is not what they truly believe.  They do not want to upset people so they just agree with them to their face instead of telling them what their real opinion is.  My mom is not like that at all.  She will tell it like it is no matter who she is talking to.  She always voices her opinion and does not let people influence her opinion easily.  She would definitely not be influenced by people into making the wrong decision.  Many people respect my mom because she is very honest and I respect her for that too.

If my mom was elected as mayor I can picture many people liking her.  She is a very likable person because of her personality.  She is very confident and always knows what is going on.  The quality that makes her stand out most is her honesty because it is a characteristic that many people do not have.  My mom has always been successful in everything she has done, so I'm sure she would be a successful mayor as well.  She makes me proud to be her daughter and I hope that one day I could be just like her.  

Wild

The first thing that comes to my mind when hearing the word wild is all different animals running through the forest. I picture terrified deer or antelope running for their lives away and lions chasing them with a look of hunger on their faces.  I can imagine many different nature scenes like a forest full of trees or open meadows.  This image reminds me of the word wild, but of course there are many other things in the world that could be described as wild.  People that are not civilized also strike me as wild like for example, people who do not have good hygiene or do not shower on a regular basis I would consider wild.

The word wild is a very descriptive word, but it could mean a lot of different things depending on the situation.  In my opinion the definition of wild is someone of something that stands out from the everyday civilization.  It is something that is hard to imagine existing in real life.  Wild can have a different meaning depending on the person and their life experiences.  For example, I have never experienced a lion hunting an antelope in the forest therefore it is considered wild to me.  Although this is considered wild to me someone who lives in Africa and sees these things regularly may think that a bank robbery is wild.        
       
There are certain people that I would consider wild and the first one that comes to mind is Ke$ha.  I went to a Ke$ha concert over the summer and she is the exact definition of wild.  She is absolutely crazy and definitely something different then you would see in everyday life.  From her songs about cannibalism to her drinking blood on stage are only some of her qualities that would categorize her as wild.  Not only was Ke$ha wild, but some of the fans at her concert were also very wild.  

Wild is a very descriptive word and it could have many different meanings.  Someone could be having a wild hair day where their hair is flying all over the place, or someone's personality could be wild like Ke$ha.  Also animals that are not domesticate are considered wild because they are not civilized like most humans are.  They do not have good hygiene and they are normally very fierce.  I do not believe that you can find the wildness within yourself, I think you either have it or you don't.  A person who is not wild can try to be wild, but they will most likely not enjoy themselves and be worried about their actions which is not actually being wild.
